Stephane Simoens Contemporary Fine Art: Golvenstraat 7, 8300 Knokke-Heist / Insta : @stephane_simoens

Between 9 April and 17 May 2022, the art gallery Stephane Simoens is presenting an exhibition entitled "Colour Shaping From", a dialogue between the work of Macheld Rullens, a young Dutch artist born in 1988, and Masaaki Yamada, a Japanese artist born in 1929 and who died in 2010. The aim of this exhibition was to bring together two artists from different eras and to see what similarities they might have. By surprise, we could see that many works can be associated as if a link existed between them (same colour, same tone, etc).

Put 19: Sparrendreef 74, 8300 Knokke-Heist / Insta : @19put

In golf, the nineteenth hole is a term for a pub, bar or restaurant near the golf course. A standard round of golf has only eighteen holes so golfers will say they are at the ‘nineteenth hole’, meaning they are enjoying a drink after the game. The brown pub opposite the church mainly attracts 'locals'. A warm place, a true anachronism, and for that very reason of great beauty. Nowhere in the world can you drink a beer better than here.

Dominique Desimpel BVBA: Albertlaan 9, 8300 Knokke-Heist / Insta : @dominiquedesimpel

The company started in Belgium in 1997 with a very simple premise: discovery. At the very beginning of his career, Dominique Desimpel fell in love with the beautiful simplicity and natural texture of Moroccan tiles. But the world is big and he was curious to learn more about what was available in other parts of the globe. The showroom in Knokke is a library of ideas.

Place Rose: Lichttorenplein, 8300 Knokke-Heist / Insta : Lichttorenplein

The old lighthouse from 1872 was demolished in 1954.  It has risen from the ashes in all its splendour and glory on the Lichttorenplein, completely redesigned by Gert Verhoeven. The Lichttorenplein itself is completely tiled in pink and the water of the fountain also gets a pink color.
